    1. Musical Theatre Juniors. 4-8 years
      A 1-hour session divided into three sections dance, drama, and singing. The sessions are designed to develop the child’s confidence, social skills and focus; giving them a head start in life.

      During sessions, pupils participate in guided improvisation, where the teacher will take your child on a journey to many different worlds. Pupils are encouraged to contribute their own ideas to add to the story. Lots of Disney /pop songs and props are used to keep the interest and energy levels up!

      Each term the class will be tailored around a different theme. Parents are invited to watch the class at the end of each term.

      Musical Theatre Stars. 6-12 years
      A 2-hour session divided into four sections dance, drama, singing and production. Pupils will learn how to put a Musical Theatre production together by learning lines from a script, blocking a scene, developing a character and performing in front of an audience.

      What does the class involve?

      SINGING
      In singing we focus on improving children’s quality of speech and encourage good vocal technique. In the term they will be introduced to a variety of musical styles. Each class will start with a vocal warm up. They will then learn the main song of the session, which involves understanding the text, and learning the tune before creating a musical performance.

      DANCE
      Each class starts with an energetic aerobic warm-up. Pupils will learn new dance skills and techniques for a variety of different styles. A fun routine would then be worked on giving Pupils the opportunity to improve and feel more confidence with the performance.

      DRAMA
      The teacher will start with a physical, vocal, energising or focusing warm up to get the class ready to work collaboratively together. The main body of the session will focus on any of the following techniques; role-play, improvisation, characterisation and theatrical skills. Each term we focus on a different theme or script that will be fun and inventive, as we explore the diverse ways, we can use our voice and bodies to create theatre

      PRODUCTION
      Each DPA teacher chooses a different theme or musical production to suit the interest of their group ensuring the sessions are engaging. Past themes and productions include: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Honk, The Greatest Showman, The Jungle Book, The Lion King and Oliver.

What do the classes involve?
The Musical Theatre class incorporates Drama, Singing and Dancing.

4- 8-year olds – 1-hour class
Pupils will participate in guided improvisation, where the teacher will take them on a journey to many different worlds, as they are encouraged to contribute their ideas to the story. 6-12-year olds – 2-hour class
Pupils will learn how to put a Musical Theatre production together from learning lines from a script, blocking a scene, developing a character to finally performing in front of an audience. Each term a different musical production is explored to suit the pupil’s interests and skill sets.

How do I book my child onto a class?
Class registration and trial classes must be made via our secure online booking system found on the website. If you have any queries please email info@dynamicperformingarts.co.uk.

Can my child start at any point of the term?
Yes, new pupils can join at any point of the term and you only pay from their start date.

Can the parents sit in and watch?
No, parents are only invited to watch the class at the end of each term.

How much are the classes?
1 hour £6.50 per child / 10-week term £65.00
2 hours £9.50 per child / 10-week term £95.00
10% Discount is available for multiple class bookings.

Can I try a class before I sign up to a course?
Yes. You can book your child in for a £5.00 trial class via the secure online booking system before committing to the full term.

How and when do I pay?
Term fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the 10-week term. All bookings must be made via the online booking system. If payment is not received in time your existing place will not be reserved.

How many children are in a class?
1 Teacher - 3 – 12 children per class
2 Teachers 13 – 24 children per class

Do classes just run during term time?
Yes, we only run 10-week terms during school term time, however, we do offer half day and full day workshops in the school holidays.

Are the teachers fully trained and qualified?
Yes, all of our teachers are specially trained to deliverer the Musical theatre classes. Many of them are professional performers or teachers. All of our teachers hold a valid DBS and Public Liability Insurance.

Is there a joining fee?
Dynamic Performing Arts has a one-off registration fee of just £10.00 this includes, a DPA T-shirt and Star Award sticker chart, here we reward pupils for outstanding achievements throughout the term.

What should my child wear to class?

  • DPA T-shirt
  • Black trousers
  • Jazz shoes or trainers
  • Hair tied back neatly

Please email if you would like to purchase uniform from Dynamic Performing Arts, we sell all of the recommended uniform.

What should my child bring to the class?
Bottle of water with their name on it and a healthy snack. No nuts to be packed in snack boxes.

Where can I find the timetable of classes and term dates?

If a class has to be cancelled your DPA teacher will notify you via email or text and a refund class will be scheduled in. If a class is not rescheduled in you will receive a full refund for that one class.
